Stone, Tile & Grout Cleaning Pikes Peak CO

Stone, Tile & Grout Cleaning | Pikes Peak CO

Preparing your home for a Chem-Dry stone, tile and grout cleaning

Step 1: Remove clutter

If you have a Chem-Dry technician coming to your home, it's best to pick up anything that can be considered a tripping hazard (shoes, toys, and other small objects). If you are having a countertop cleaned, make sure that food, small appliances, and dishes are put away properly.

Step 2: Remove area rugs, mats and other floor coverings

Move any floor coverings you might have so that the Chem-Dry technician will have clear access to the entire floor. This will allow them full maneuverability to apply the deep cleaning process to every part of stone & grout, providing a healthy shine. Remember, Chem-Dry also offers area and Oriental rug cleanings!

Step 3: Move furniture out of the way

If you have kitchen tables, chairs, barstools, or patio furniture over the area being cleaned, move these out of the way to a safe location. After the cleaning, once the area is dry, you can move furniture back and arrange it as you like.

Step 4: Sweep the area

No need to make this a super in-depth cleaning - that is why you called Pikes Peak Chem-dry! However, if you do a quick sweep to remove dust and dropped pieces of food, it will simplify the cleaning process and lower the likelihood of them getting stuck to the ground once they are wet. With the furniture out of the way, you will have a better opportunity to clear out pieces that may have been missed in previous cleanings.

Step 5: Provide clear access

Please provide a clear path from the front door for easy access for our Pikes Peak Chem-Dry technician who will need ready access to transport his equipment to the room where he will be doing the cleaning. If you need to move a car to allow them to park as close to the front door as possible, make sure that you do it as soon as possible to prevent delays.

Step 6: Prepare pets for the visit

While our cleaning products are safe and your pets are adorable, having a dog or cat underfoor can present a tripping hazard or other complications. Not to mention, that new people and loud equipment could make your pets nervous. It's wise to have a plan for where you will keep any pets during the cleaning, before the technician comes.

Tile & Stone

*Based on studies conducted by independent laboratories of Chem-Dry’s HCE (Hot Carbonating Extraction), P.U.R.T. (Pet Urine Removal Treatment), Granite Countertop Renewal, and Tile, Stone & Grout cleaning processes. Allergens tested were dog and cat dander and dust mite allergen. Pet odor results based on testing with the most common odor sources found in dog and cat urine. Pet urine bacteria results based on Chem-Dry’s HCE cleaning process and a sanitizer, combined with P.U.R.T. All bacteria results include use of sanitizer. Figures are an average across multiple tests.
